GayaBio selected for ‘Private Investment-based Scale-up Support Project’ hosted by the Korea Agricultural Research Institute

Leading companies in advanced food technology, smart agriculture, and green biotech
The Korea Agency for Agricultural Technology Advancement (KAIA) announced on the 4th that it has selected the final 10 companies for the ‘2025 Private Investment-based Scale-up Support Project' and held a business briefing on the 1st.
The selected companies are GayaBio, Dalmdalum, Dr. Oreganin, Delivery Lab, Aswemake, Abio Materials, Famirese, Farmzoa, and Permit, which are promising agri-food companies representing the fields of advanced food technology, smart agriculture, and green bio.
The Private Investment-based Scale-up Support Program, now in its second year, is part of the Agri-Food Venture and Startup Vitalization Support Program organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
The 11 companies selected last year have grown revenue and attracted investment, laying the groundwork to become large growth companies.
The program aims to facilitate the leap to large growth companies by providing follow-up funding to outstanding ventures and startups that have successfully secured investment from the private sector and have been recognized for their technology and business potential.
The 10 finalists will sign agreements in April and receive up to KRW 500 million in commercialization funding per company.
‘We have been steadily participating in Nongjinwon's agri-food venture and startup revitalization projects,“ said Kim Hee-gyeom, CEO of Gaya Bio, one of the selected companies, “This business will propel us into a new phase of growth,” he said.
“Let's work together to establish the agri-food industry as a future growth engine by creating investment outcomes such as IPOs through these projects that support corporate investment and expanding into overseas markets,” said Jeon Young-gul, head of Nongjinwon Venture Startup, at the business presentation.
