The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (Minister Jung Hwang-geun) announced on the 30th that it has selected agricultural company Gaya Bio (CEO Kim Hee-gyeom, hereinafter referred to as ‘Gaya Bio") as the 50th A-Ventures company of the month, an initiative to discover and promote excellent venture startups in the agri-food sector.
‘GayaBio' is a startup that develops and sells eco-friendly functional feeds that reduce livestock odor, greenhouse gas emissions, and antibiotic use by utilizing its own patented technologies such as microorganisms and natural materials, and feeds that can manufacture omega-3-enhanced health functional livestock foods.
‘The low-methane feed developed by 'Gaya Bio' is a feed that combines natural substances with methane-reducing effects and has the effect of reducing methane gas generation by about 581 TP3T when consumed by ruminants such as beef cattle and dairy cows.
