GayaBio, Functional and Eco-friendly at AFRO 2023

GAYABIO Unveils 4 Functional and Eco-Friendly Animal Feed Products at AFRO 2023... “Leading the Way in Carbon Reduction in the Livestock Industry!”

(CEO Kim Hee-gyeom), an agricultural company, announced that it will participate in the Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo 2023, which will be held from July 26 (Wednesday) to 28 (Friday) at COEX Hall A in Seoul for three days.

Gayabio has been developing and selling various healthy and functional livestock feeds. In line with the government's carbon neutrality plan and consumers' demand for environmental improvement, the company has developed feed that reduces methane, a greenhouse gas that is generated in large quantities in the livestock sector, and has also developed feed that reduces and reduces nitrous oxide, making it a leading company in the sustainable agricultural industry.

In addition, the company is introducing livestock food that balances omega 3 in animals and humans by supplementing omega 3 in the animal's body, and is reportedly planning to enter livestock industry powerhouses such as China and Australia based on these specialized functional feeds. The company says that the functions of each product have been verified through large-scale animal experiments in cooperation with overseas universities and companies.

At the exhibition, Gaya Bio will showcase a wide range of functional and eco-friendly livestock feed products developed by the company. ‘Green Up', which has previously attracted industry attention to Gaya Bio, is a so-called low methane feed and low nitrous oxide feed that has proven its effectiveness in reducing carbon emissions and is expected to contribute to mitigating global warming.

Power Up is a feed that maintains animal immunity and productivity even when antibiotics are eliminated or minimized, and Clean Up reduces odors from feces, helping to improve the living conditions of livestock farms and nearby residents. Also on display will be Lintex, an omega-3 fortified feed that adds value by converting fed livestock into omega-balanced food.

By introducing a range of feed products with various functions and effects at the exhibition, Gayabio plans to seek new sales in both domestic and overseas markets. “Our main goal is to secure and expand the sales of ‘good livestock feed” and omega-balanced livestock food developed by us,“ said an official. ”We expect high demand from potential customers who seek coexistence between the market, consumers, and the environment, as they fulfill the main values of health, eco-friendliness, and ethics that modern society demands for livestock farming.".

“From the second half of this year, we will begin to launch and sell new probiotic-based feed products, including antibiotic-reduced feed and odor-reduced feed, and we plan to launch a new low-methane feed early the following year, positioning ourselves as a company that contributes to carbon reduction in the livestock sector.”.

Meanwhile, AFRO 2023, Korea's largest agtech and foodtech event, will feature a variety of programs, including a conference to discuss the current and future of agtech and foodtech, an investor relations (IR) competition, and exhibitions of products and services to solve various problems in the agriculture and food industries by domestic startups with global growth potential in agtech, foodtech, and green bio. The exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and organized by the Korea Agri-Tech Promotion Agency, NHK, COEX, and the Korea Food Tech Council.
